Boosting ‘On the Road’ signals

Look closely on your next road trip.  You may discover the thriving and lively culture that populates US Interstates during commuter off-hours.  These drivers depend on one another for cross-country information.  The information they need is about living and working on the road.

In the past, that knowledge was shared using the two-way CB radio.  Truckers, RV enthusiasts, Highway Patrol, Park Rangers and Traveling Sales Reps all depended on radio wave technology to communicate about road conditions and make recommendations of all kinds.  Wilson Electronics enabled them with their antennas and simultaneously built a name in the RF history annals.

Today, the roadway society is still connected to Wilson Electronics, especially as radio frequencies are more important than ever with the use of cell phones, WiFi and the coming future with WiMax and 3G networks.  Being without cell service while on the road means, for some, a loss of productivity and for others it’s their only connection to the “outside” world.

Built with the kind of sturdy construction necessary for road-warrior mobility, Wilson’s power amp - with an iridescent, blue aluminum housing and cooling fins - inspires the American open-road aesthetic because it’s as pretty as a Harley or a Kenworth Diesel without the chrome; at least when compared to competitors’ models.  You won’t find Wilson bragging about that, however.

Wilson’s staffed with eight percent Engineers so the company’s website is loaded with technical and output testing data.  Wilsonelectronics.com also contains customer testimonials that reveal the company’s loyal market.

Customer after customer from various parts of the country - with as many user needs - will report the necessity for their new Wilson cellular amplifier.  However, don’t just look at the company website for gushing endorsement.

Truck drivers aren’t known to be good spellers, but at the top of CNETs user reviews for the Wilson Amplifier are comments by “midnightrider379”.  His post, Great for Truckers, is written, “this is grat if ur in remote loactions or in urban areas u wont drop calls with this.”

Motorhometraveler.com reviewed the amp after purchasing it from powerfulsignal.com, then installed the unit in their RV.  The publisher’s over-the-road signal is of great importance for uploading e-zine articles, but also for staying connected.  The reviewer and publisher, Bobby Murray, said that they pass the unit between the car, RV and a dinghy, having purchased separate antennas for each purpose.  Moving the amp from vehicle to vehicle, they simply reconnect it to the coaxial and power supply cables.  He writes, “Our RV park neighbors were so envious! Many of them came in and used the amplifier with their cell phones to reach their loved ones.” Being the envy of the mobile neighborhood is quite a testimonial - you can’t buy better advertising than that.
