Even the ever-popular revenue driver, Bluetooth, can’t fix a persistent problem for motorists and that is what to do with the phone, MP3 player, and navigation device when you’re in the car?  Cup holders are no longer available for drinks because they’ve become inadequate, overloaded receptacles.

But a German manufacturer is prepared to change this problem, worldwide, and has been doing so since 1956. You may already be familiar with their high-quality mounting systems without even knowing it because many OEM and carrier product packages include their mounts and holders.  In fact, they recently surpassed the mark of 150 million mounts made.

Herbert Richter (HR) is located in Pforzheim, Germany and makes the iGRIP-branded, custom car mounts and holding accessories of high-density ABS plastic with suction mounts so strong you could practically scale a glass wall with them.  They are sturdy and nearly indestructible, which is why the manufacturer can afford a 5-year full replacement warranty on their products.  The range of iGRIP universal and device-specific holders and mounts cover any need in GPS navigation, iPod, phone, or PDA with 20 holder styles to choose from.

These holders along with their special mounts can be coupled together to create hundreds of unique combinations.  Whether you need a suction cup mount for the windshield, a vent mount, or power port mount there is a workable solution from the iGRIP product line.  There’s even a mount that will attach to the metal part of the headrest to hold an iPod so the kids can watch a movie in the back seat.

The now 50-year-old manufacturer is the largest in its category in the world and it has created the most innovative product line with an impressive list of OEMs who co-brand the products; Nokia, HTC, Sprint, Bell Canada, and AT&T are a few among them.

The most interesting take away here, however, is the development of a new category for revenue.  An in-car holding solution doesn’t need to replace existing product in the store, but as an additional sale for all Bluetooth and GPS navigation users, it will soon be a necessity to keep devices within eye-level view and at arms reach.

To illustrate this trend, Bell Canada is making a deal with its customers that they receive a free iGRIP holder and mount with the purchase of a Bluetooth headset.  The combination is designed to keep the roads safe and comply with hands-free legislation.

HR, the manufacturer, has also made a deal with Wireless Dealer Magazine, which is that any qualified reseller, (dealers, distributors, and carriers), who call in to their US sales and marketing office (1-888-IGRIP21) can get a free sample to try.  They are so confident in this new product category, and in the quality of their products, that they are making this offer to give buyers an opportunity to test these products for themselves.
